Press conference for the launch of the Year of Prayer to be held on Tuesday 23 January

Tuesday 23 January 2024, at 11.30 am in the Press Office of the Holy See, a press conference will be held to present the Year of Prayer and the ‘Notes on Prayer’ series. The Year of Prayer will be dedicated to rediscovering, as Pope Francis underlined, "the great value and absolute need of prayer, in personal life, in the life of the Church, and prayer in the world", in preparation for the 2025 Jubilee.

The year will conclude, in December 2024, with the opening of the Holy Door marking the beginning of the Holy Year. The Holy Father officially opened the Year of Prayer during the Angelus on January 21, saying: "I ask you to intensify your prayer to prepare us to live this event of grace well and experience the strength of God's hope."
