ITA Airways named as Official Carrier for the 2025 Jubilee

ITA Airways has been officially designated Official Carrier for the 2025 Jubilee, which will begin in Rome with the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica on December 24. The announcement was made on November 8 with the signing of an agreement between the Dicastery for Evangelization, represented by Pro-prefect, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, and the President of ITA Airways, Antonino Turicchi.

The airline will offer exclusive benefits for holders of the Carta del Pellegrino, including discounts on airline tickets for flights operated by the company, if registered in the Volare loyalty program. Special rates are also available for groups, making it easier for groups of pilgrims to get to the Jubilee celebrations.

ITA Airways will also be a partner in the main Jubilee events, including the Jubilee of Sport, the Jubilee of Adolescents, the Jubilee of Youth, the Jubilee of Persons with Disabilities and the Jubilee of Workers, supporting the organization of the events during the Holy Year.

“The agreement reached with ITA Airways will allow many pilgrims to reach Rome more easily to take part in the Jubilee,”  said Archbishop Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, who is responsible for organizing the Jubilee. He continued: “We are particularly grateful to ITA Airways and its President for the support shown and for their assistance to millions of Pilgrims who will use the airline to experience the Holy Year.”

Our Roman hub will be the main entry point for those who wish to explore the beauties of the rest of the country", said Antonino Turicchi, President of ITA Airways.
