Confindustria and Enel Cuore Onlus come together to support people with disabilities for the Jubilee

Enel Cuore Onlus and Confindustria have confirmed their commitment to social inclusion by offering lunch on 29 April, to the 10,000 pilgrims from over 90 countries around the world who have come to Rome for the Jubilee of people with disabilities, the official event of the 2025 Holy Year taking place on 28 and 29 April.

The event starting at 1pm in the Gardens of Castel Sant’Angelo, was made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Dicastery for Evangelization. The preparation and distribution of the meals was entrusted to the Pellegrini S.p.A. company, who supplied lunch boxes worth approximately 10 euros each to all registered participants.

The two-day Jubilee began on Monday, April 28, with the welcoming of participants, a moment of prayer, with accessible confessions and Eucharistic adoration in the church of San Giovanni Battista de’ Fiorentini, and the pilgrimage to the Holy Door of St. Peter’s. The first day ended with the celebration of Mass at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls.

On April 29, there was a gathering in St. Peter’s Square and catechesis from Archbishop Rino Fisichella, for the thousands of pilgrims, followed by testimonies from people with disabilities, who spoke of their experiences of faith, resilience and hope. Then a lunch together was held in the Gardens of Castel Sant'Angelo and at 3pm a celebration was held, with entertainment and music from big names of the entertainment world and speeches from various representatives of the institutions.La due giorni giubilare ha avuto inizio lunedì 28 aprile con l’accoglienza dei partecipanti, il momento di preghiera, con le confessioni accessibili e l’adorazione eucaristica, nella chiesa di San Giovanni Battista de’ Fiorentini, e il pellegrinaggio alla Porta Santa di San Pietro. Nel pomeriggio, la prima giornata si è conclusa con la celebrazione della Santa Messa presso la Basilica di San Paolo fuori le Mura. In data 29 aprile, invece, dopo l’incontro in piazza San Pietro con la catechesi di S.E. Mons. Rino Fisichella, alla presenza di migliaia di pellegrini, e momenti di testimonianza da parte di persone con disabilità, portatrici di esperienze autentiche di fede, resilienza e speranza, ai Giardini di Castel Sant'Angelo si è tenuto il pranzo insieme e alle 15.00 un momento di festa, intrattenimento e musica con ospiti di rilievo e personalità istituzionali.
