Information on the canonizations of Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis
Next 26 July, on the occasion of the Youth Jubilee, the relics of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati will be transferred from the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista, in Turin, to the Basilica of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, in Rome.
The relics will be in Rome from 26 July to 4 August.
In the historic Roman church they will be venerated by the faithful until Sunday 4 August, when the solemn canonisation Mass of the young man from Turin and Blessed Carlo Acutis will be held in St. Peter's Square.
The Holy Mass for the canonisation of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati will be held on 7 September 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Square.
Access to the Square is permitted from 8:00 am.
