The second and third volumes of the "Notes on Prayer" series now available in bookstores

The “Notes on Prayer” series, promoted by the Dicastery, is made up of eight volumes, which are being made available to Episcopal Conferences and diocesan communities. The booklets are a useful support for deepening and rediscovering the centrality of prayer in the various forms that the Spirit has inspired and continues to inspire in the Church.

 

The first book, Praying Today: A challenge (Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 110 pages, €8.50) carries a  preface by Pope Francis, and is authored by Cardinal Angelo Comastri, former Vicar General of Vatican City and Archpriest of St. Peter's. It was published in Italian on 23 January of this year and can be purchased online.

 

The second title, Praying with the Psalms (Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 114 pages, €8.50), has been available since 22 February, and  is written by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, one of the best-known writers at an international level on biblical themes. Formerly President of the Pontifical Council for Culture, he currently directs the Courtyard of the Gentiles project. The Italian versiont can be purchased online.

 

The third booklet, The Prayer of Jesus,  (Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 148 pages, €8.50), has also been available (in Italian)  since 22 February in bookstores. it is written by the biblical scholar Juan López Vergara, former President of the Association of Biblical Scholars of Mexico , a teacher at the Instituto Bìblico Católico of Guadalajara and member of the national biblical animation team.
