Mobility and Accessibility for Pilgrims with Disabilities at the Youth Jubilee – Tor Vergata, August 2 and 3, 2025
For the Youth Jubilee, scheduled for August 2 and 3, 2025, at Tor Vergata, Rome City Council has put in place a mobility plan for those with disabilities. The aim is to ensure everyone can participate in the event in a safe, dignified, and accessible manner. To facilitate travel to the Tor Vergata area, a dedicated operation will be in place, including reserved parking, assisted transportation, specially equipped shuttle buses, and dedicated staff.
The fully accessible shuttle bus service will connect the parking area on Viale Palmiro Togliatti near Piazza Cinecittà with the event site, ensuring transport for persons with limited mobility and their companions to the reserved areas near the stage. The service will operate on August 2nd from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and on August 3rd in two distinct time slots: from 4:00 am to 7:00 am and from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Those arriving by subway can use shuttle buses departing from the Subaugusta station (Metro A), where specialized assistance points will be available. Special assistance and transport services will also be available at the Anagnina station (Metro A) and Ciampino railway station, with vehicles operating which are equipped to transport people with mobility issues. These services will facilitate travel even for those coming from the outskirts of the city or from outside Rome, ensuring logistical continuity and support throughout the entire journey to Tor Vergata.
The shuttle service is reserved exclusively for people with disabilities and one companion.
The mobility plan implemented by Roma Servizi per la Mobilità confirms the City Administration's commitment to inclusiveness and the full participation of all pilgrims in an event of truly international importance. The organization of routes, the provision of dedicated vehicles, and the presence of trained personnel are all being put in place to provide a more welcoming experience of the city, which responds to the needs of all citizens and visitors.
