Workers' Jubilee: over 10,000 pilgrims arrive in Rome
From Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 May 2025, the Workers' Jubilee will take place, an event of great importance which will bring over 10,000 pilgrims from over 90 countries to Rome. Participants include approximately 3,500 people from all over Italy, who will be joined by 450 from the United States, 560 from Spain, 330 from Poland, 220 from France, 170 from Brazil, 165 from Argentina, 140 from Mexico, 130 from Germany and 110 from Pakistan.
There are also numerous pilgrims coming in smaller groups from further afield including countries such as Bangladesh (445), Ethiopia (75), Nigeria (45), the Philippines (45), India (35), Indonesia (35), and the Democratic Republic of Congo (20). There will also be significant presences from the United Kingdom (80), Canada (75), Australia (60), Portugal (150), Chile (100), Colombia (80) and Venezuela (10).
Many workers' associations will also be present, including the Christian Workers' Movement, ACLI (Italian Christian Workers' Associations), the Catholic Action Workers' Movement, FEMCA CISL, ConfCooperative and many other organizations which assist workers on a daily basis.
As previously announced, the program of the Jubilee of Workers has undergone significant changes. For pilgrims arriving in Rome this weekend, the only Jubilee rites will be the pilgrimages to the Holy Doors of St. Peter's Basilica and the other Papal Basilicas.
