Youth Jubilee, the Official Guide for Events at Tor Vergata
The most eagerly anticipated moment of the upcoming Youth Jubilee will take place on Saturday, August 2nd and Sunday, August 3rd, in the Tor Vergata area of Rome, in the presence of Pope Leo XIV, with the Prayer Vigil and the closing Mass of the Jubilee.
To accompany pilgrims and help them participate, the official vademecum/guide for Tor Vergata has been published online, available in six languages at the following link: Vademecum.
This practical, clear, and constantly updated guide is designed to help everyone experience the event in the best way possible. It contains all the practical information needed to organize your trip: from logistics to transportation, from recommended items to bring with you to services offered on-site.
Access to the area will start at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 2nd. In the afternoon, young people will be welcomed with entertainment, live music, and testimonies, in preparation for the Vigil with the Holy Father, which is scheduled for 8:30 pm. After the Vigil, participants will spend the night on site in sleeping bags, in an atmosphere of friendship, celebration, and fraternity. The following morning, Sunday, August 3, at 9:00 am, Pope Leo XIV will be back to preside over the celebration of the closing Mass of the Jubilee.
The Guide also provides detailed directions on how to reach the event site in Tor Vergata safely. The use of public transport is strongly recommended: clearly marked pedestrian routes will be set up and staffed by Civil Protection volunteers, and metro and train connections will be increased for the occasion.
For groups arriving on tour buses, a special parking plan will be in place, with simplified online booking, personalized access point assignment, and official itineraries to follow, all of which are available on Roma Mobilità's information channels Roma Mobilità.
The Tor Vergata area will be equipped with a network of essential services: lunch box pick-up points (including gluten-free options), drinking fountains, toilets, medical stations, areas equipped for people with disabilities, and a high-tech audiovisual system to ensure everyone can follow every moment of the event.
Participation will also be facilitated by several useful digital apps. Simultaneous translation of the main events will be available via the Vatican Vox and Vatican Radio apps, while people with sensory disabilities will be able to make use of the Vatican for All app.
The official vademecum/guide for Tor Vergata is a fundamental tool in preparing for, and fully experiencing, this important stage of the Jubilee. It can be consulted online and downloaded via the Iubilaeum25 app, available free on the App Store and Google Play. It is a practical guide for an experience that promises to be unique, intense, and profoundly spiritual.
