Mobility Information - Jubilee of people with disabilities

Today, Tuesday 29 April, the second day of the Jubilee of people with disabilities will be devoted to catechesis and a celebration in the gardens of Castel Sant'Angelo.

Throughout the day, via della Conciliazione will be animated by "Via della Speranza" groups, with their testimonies of what it’s like to be disabled and signs of hope of people with disabilities. It is possible that traffic will be affected during these events.

- How to reach St. Peter's by train and metro

You can reach St Peter’s using regional railways FL3 and FL5. Get off at the San Pietro station, which is the closest railway station to the Vatican area.

Using Metro A you can get off at Cipro station (which has an elevator), or Ottaviano or Lepanto stations (where stairlifts are available).

- Extra buses and links from metro stations

Rome’s bus company Atac will run extra buses on the following routes, all accessible for people with reduced mobility: 23, 32, 40, 49, 62, 64, 70, 83, 85, 87, 105, 118, 246, 492, 495, 792, 916.

Atac will also increase services from the Cipro, Ottaviano and Lepanto metro stations.

- Parking for Tourist buses

For those heading to St. Peter's, we recommend parking at the Gianicolo Terminal which allows for easy access.
